Budget gaming build

I'm trying to plan a build for my friend that can play most games (specifically Skyrim) at medium settings for around $300. I'm totally ignoring peripherals and I'm not to concerned about the case or cooling for now. I was thinking an I3 3220 or a FX-4300 for the CPU and a 7770 for the GPU. I was wondering if anybody has suggestions on which to would be a better option (mother board ideas would also be nice) or if there are any better options if so please share.

CPU: Intel i5 2310 Mobo: MSI Z77A-G41 GPU: MSI 760 Twin Frozr 4GB RAM: 8GB ADATA XPG Gaming Series

Storage: OCZ Aglility 3 120 GB SSD, 2 250GB Segate HDDs Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 PSU: Antec NEO ECO 520W

A $300 build...

BRB.

Edit: Yeah, that ain't happening. You're looking at a $400+ build here.

I will agree... You need a steeper budget.  You are looking at a Hard Drive, Processor, Ram, Motherboard, Graphics Card, and Power Supply.  For a decent build, probably 500-700 for that.

MB: MSI Z77A-G41                                       $99.99

CPU: Intel Core i3-2100                                $129.99

RAM: Corsair CMV8GX3M1A1600C11         $52.99

GPU: MSI N650TI-1GD5/OC BE BOOST      $154.99

HDD: WD WD10EZEX 1TB Blue                   $69.99

PSU: Seasonic S12II 430W                           $64.99

TOTAL                                                         $572.94

That is my recommendation... It is not $300, but a great build on a budget.

(good) Computer components are expensive, and that is something we have to just work around.

Yeah I kinda realized that this build may not be reasonable (at least with that stuff) when I actually went to look up the parts.

I think $450 would be a much better price point since you can actually get 8gigs of ram and have parts to compliment it.
