Paired with a Pentium G3220, what do you recommend? Low heat would be good. Also, what version of the card would you recommend?

270 on sale or 750/ti

Check eBay if you can, got a 270 for $100 USD

EDIT:

Exactly what I wanted to say

Edit:

EVGA 750 Ti or MSI R9 270 are best I believe, could be wrong on the latter one.

Sometimes I've seen an R9 280 go for that price. If not, then I'd go R9 270, OC it, and save your money. I wouldn't bother with the R9 270x.

^^He's right, x is just an OC you can do yourself for free. It confused Linus and Luke  :P

I could be very wrong

Though the 270 and 270x are identical cards aside from clock rates the R9 280 and 280x are two different cards with different amount of SPUs and texture units, GPU cores, and clocks rates. X on AMD cards don't always indicate just an OC.

I wonder how long the rebate is good for, the customer has not paid yet

I have that exact card actually. It overclocks like a beast. As for rebates, I tend to ignore them in price calculations unless there's no other way. I'm much more inclined to save money on used components over rebates. I'd sooner do one of these instead of relying on the rebate:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00GWV0ZD8/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

You can see if there are any deals on a used R9 280 from Amazon if you wish. I personally don't mind that option because it just feels much safer than ebay, but it's up to you if you want to do that. There is some risk involved though, but if it were me, I'd do it.

I would not say it;s a beast OCer bit rather it;s an underclocked card from the factory so it's gimped from the get go.

I honestly do not want to deal with rebates, they are a joke. Since this build is for a customer, best possible performance/money is not top priority, so do you think a 750ti would be fine for 1080p gaming? Possibly this: (and again avoiding the rebate) http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-3751-KR/dp/B00IDG3PRI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1415828067&sr=8-3&keywords=750ti

Also, I will be using Amazon Prime.

The less money I spend, the more I make :)

Only if they turn the settings down a lot on demanding games. It's significantly worse than the R9 270, and even the R9 270 needs settings turned down to handle 1080p 60fps on some demanding games. The cheapest GPU that handles pretty much everything out right now at 1080p 60fps ultra I believe is the R9 290 priced at around $250.

They know its not going to be butter smooth, would you say medium/high settings at 45ish fps at 1080p?

System is something like this:

CPU: Intel Pentium G3220 3.0GHz Dual-Core Processor  (Purchased For $40.00)
Motherboard: ASRock H81M-HDS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($56.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  (Purchased For $35.00)
Total: $396.97
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

270/x with overclock or a cheap 280.

Does it have to be from amazon? You're really limiting yourself on such a low budget build that's already making too many compromises. Really, you're getting pretty awful price to performance until you hit the $500 mark. At least find a way to fit in an R9 270 if you want to game at 1080p.
