GPU Comparison/Preference For Assassin's Creed Unity

Drumax

I'm currently waiting for Assassin's Creed Unity, & upon looking at the spec requirements for the PC version on the Can You RUN It site, it says

red_x.gif CPU

Minimum: Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 940 @ 3.0 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz You Have: Intel® Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz drivers-updates.gif Click here for the latest CPU drivers. Upgrade Suggested bars_81-86.png 81st percentile

blue_i.gif CPU SPEED

Minimum: Info You Have: 2.4 GHz

red_x.gif VIDEO CARD

Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (2 GB VRAM) You Have: GeForce GT 755M drivers-updates.gif Click here for the latest Video Card drivers. Upgrade Suggested bars_67-79.png 72nd percentile Features: Minimum attributes of your Video Card     Required You Have green_checkmark_small.gif Pixel Shader version 5.0 5.0 green_checkmark_small.gif Vertex Shader version 5.0 5.0 green_checkmark_small.gif Dedicated Video RAM 2 GB 2.0 GB

It's correct in detecting that I have the 755M but I have SLI in my laptop running.I don't think it's detecting the 2nd card. I would assume it wouldn't detect it anyways but I was wondering if my SLI cards would be on par with the recommended GTX 680 or the AMD Radeon HD 7970 or greater than, so that I can run Assassin's Creed Unity with no problems on max settings. On a side note, not having 60 fps isn't a big deal for me, I don't mind playing at like 30fps, I usually do or sometimes 40fps.

I usually play Planetside 2 at 20fps but I think it's because my laptop is on a single channel 8GB. Anyways, thanks in advance for any help/advice.

SLI GT755m wouldn't even be close to a 680. 755m SLI is probably around a GTX750Ti-GTX660 (non -m)

Also, I wouldn't put much stock in these suggestions, but rather wait for reviews/actual benchmarks.

755M SLI indeed isn't as good as a 680, but I think those requirements are bloated to all hell.

Your CPU is perfectly fine by the way, assuming your Lenovo keeps it at the correct 3.3GHz turbo boost 24/7

I HIGHLY suggest waiting until release and checking what people say, but I think your laptop should work fine unless a GTX 680 ACTUALLY is the min reqs.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

The requirements aren't bloated, just found out today. The game is so bad, the game got probably the worse review ever. Buying this game for the PC is a waste of money.

So you're trying to tell me... this game, with SLI support (you need 344.65 drivers) cannot run at low at 720p at 30fps on your system?

This game ACTUALLY needs a GTX 680 and an i5 to run at low 720p 30fps?

Yeah, it will dip below 30 fps on low with a GTX 680. PS4 runs below 30 fps, closer to around 25 dipping to 18 fps.

Game is terribly unoptimised I don't actually see how it's possible...

It's Ubisoft

The ones who brought us U Play, and the cinematic experience.

It dips below 30fps... on a 680... at 1280 x 720, at minimum graphics?

Well, not 720p... But I didn't think that would even be an option LOL.

Well that's what "min spec" is... 720p 30fps target on "low" graphics. If the game needs a 680 for that, then Ubisoft is on a new level of unoptimization.
