Hey, I just wanted to ask if there is a laptop without a keyboard, because i'll plug in my mechanical one anyways. So I am basically looking for a less expensive Surface Pro, which doesn't need a touchscreen. Maybe I can make a bigger case for a monitor and put the components in there. Is that possible? To build a laptop on your own?

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

there is no laptop without a keyboard, the purpose of a laptop is to be mobile and have everything you need without having to take a scree, keyboard, mouse etc with you.

Look at a AIO computer which is like a Mac that has a screen then all the components behind the screen, they all come as touch i think but you should be able to turn the touch off.

The Asus Transformer Book T100TA technically has a keyboard, but it's detachable and you can get it in a variety of performance options.

or the Lenovo Miix 10.

As such, there is no factory-standard keyboard-less laptop on sale.
