What do you think of the build?

IDK but from  a budget of around 2k for the PC itself, i'm thinking this is the perfect build?

I would get dual 970s instead of a 980, and I would get a 4690k if you are just gaming. The ram is ok, but not the best. Beside those, this build looks pretty good.

I like the 970, but this would be one of my first builds, and what i have heard and just from benchmarks, you pay more for SLI 970s and you better yet get just a little more or less depending on the game. The motherboard i have isn't compatible with the 4690k for some reason.

Wrong, the 970 is around 20% worse than the 980 if I remember correctly, and with sli, they will perform significantly over 50% better. You can get two 970s for $650-$700, and you can save that money by getting the 4690k. It thinks the 4690k is incompatible, but it is just as fine as thee 4790k, which is partly; they will work on z87 boards with a bios update, and on z97 boards without one. These are some other decent motherboards that are z97: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-maximusviihero http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97gaming7 http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-motherboard-142hre977kr

Yea idk man, i like your help but, i plan on doing more than just gaming, and the 4770k i have had friends have many problems with, the sli 970s is probobly better but like i said, one this is my first build, and i don't know alot about sli. I have done a lot of research and most every youtuber and pc reviewer says get one faster graphics card instead of two slower ones.

In general yes, but in this case sli 970s is better because they are pretty close in performance but the 980 costs quite a bit more.

yea im looking at benchmarks and one game i love bf4 the upgrade in ultra 1080p 4xMSAA is 16 frames, other games ranging at 50 upgrade, so now that im seeing that it is very into consideration but i would probobly keep the 4790k probobly.
