Can someone do this for me? (Maths)

I know this : x = mwDlW9e.png  , where i , n and AB are variables.

I need to calculate n.

It's 12 AM and I'm really tired. Tomorrow I'll have to spend 11 hours at school (from 9AM to 8PM) and I need to finish two projects at literature(finished) and physics(almost finished). As you can imagine, this is related to the physics one.

(calculating the index of refraction of glass from the deviation suffered by the light when it passes through a parallel glass plane)

It's just lots of algebra and I'm really sleepy... I know how to do it but it's too much right now.I got to :

n = sqrt(sin^2(i) * ( d^2 - (dsin(i))^2 - ( dsin(i) - Δ)^2) / ( dsin(i) - Δ)

Δ = x

AB = d

is your friend :)

Doesn't solve stuff like this.

there is no calculus in this, just algebra. and it is rather simple too.

Whatever.I've been awake since 7 AM , after 7 hours of school and it's 12 AM.Sleeping is all I want right now.

i did a thing

pic coming in a min

btw, it may be 100% wrong b/c i have also been awake since 7am and have also had school today (Double Physics and Double Chemistry and one History) so yeah...

EDIT: Yep, did the sin-2 bit wrong i think and shit, I list a square root in a transcription error (bottom of fraction)D1O0vrh.jpg

n = (sin(i)cos(i))/(sin(i) - x/AB)) + sin(i)

or

n = - ((sin(i)cos(i))/(sin(i) - x/AB)) + sin(i))

(if it's physics usually the negative result gets discarded, but I put it in regardless for the sake of math ^^)

hopefully I ddn't mess it up, my pen died and I had to do it in my mind -.- @Nineshadow (make sure you do all your hw yourself next time though ;))

You're the one who should be doing their homework lad, can't even get homophones correct.

fixed lol  clearly I wasn't paying attention. Also this keyboard sucks balls.

Try with this : mwDlW9e.png

I accidentally uploaded another picture the first time.I've edited my post in the meanwhile.

It's the same thing though.

Thanks anyway.

I did another thing

Bearing in mind this is without any cancellation effort, I got this:

It is of course mentioning at this time that I am useless at thisDpV69Hn.jpg

I dunno if you're still working on this, but the x/AB shouldn't be inside the arcsine. It's just being multiplied.

As far as I can tell, it should be:
