WW II Strategy Game (ongoing - you can join everytime)

Your First Turn (post it in this thread)

Name: (Name of your civ - can be african or south american countries as well, but they should exist at 1933)

Flag: (250x150)

Population:

Ideology/government: (describe it and their beliefs)

Economic: on what focus the economy (weapons, food...)

 

Other Turns: (sent it as pm to me -  must have that format or else i don't accept it!!!)

Military/Guards: (care, they take time to move)

Diplomacy/Trade: (which whom you want to trade and what, alliances...)

Production/Economy: (what do you produce - soldies, how many (don't be ridicoulus with the numbers)

Internal Affairs/Governments: new laws, new propaganda etc

Research: 1  Technology per turn

Other Stuff: 

 

Rules: 

1. Sent a PM to iTzPrime with the title: "Countryname -  Turn X"

2. You have 1 days to sent in your turn. The turn always ends at 8pm CEST

3. Don't write turnsheets that are too long - but write enough detail to get a nice story going.

4. Be realistic (you cannot pump out 3 million soldiers out of an 8 million country)

5. After the second turn, there will be resources that have to be maintained. However i do not write the exact number of the recourse, but write in sentences (... is hungry, is unhappy with the government)

6. There will be random events per turn. The amout varies on what is happening. There are good and bad events, and some that influence all the players

7. Secret alliances are allowed via PM


Victory Conditions:

  • You have destroyed or annexed every other Civilization ( or your alliance)
  • You drop Atomic Bomb on every capital (take a long time to research, dangerous)
  • You win by achieving a perfectly stable country (no internal affairs)
  • You win by having 50% more money than the second and the third best country combined. 

 

Research:

1. Infantery

2. Attilery

3. Machinery (Tanks...)

4. Air

5. Naval

6. Network (Spies, Propaganda....)

7. Internal Research ( Economic, Food...)

I don't exactly tell all the specific researches, as it would be to easy, to just Beline to one ;)

 

War:

1. If you declare war on another player, your win will depend on the position and the amout of troops in that area

2. if you want to capture neutral countries (white) -  it depends on their ideology (random) if they fight, join or surrender and then do terrorists acts.

Name: IRELAND!

Population: 4,5M
Ideology/government: Democracy - against the Nazi Regime
Economic:  Food & Armaments.

 

Despite the fact, that Ireland is a relativly poor country, their military power cannot be overlooked. Because of their geographical location, it is nearly impossible to take over.

 

Second Faction: NerdNinja

Name: USA!

Population: 316.1 Million

Ideology/government:Democracy

Economic: Weapons

The US is by far the strongest Nation in terms of weaponpower. However, they still have a lot of internal problems  - mainly with the African-Americans who hardly have any rights at that point. 

 

 

Third Section: StarFire

Name: Canada

Population:35.5 M

Ideology/government: Democracy against the Nazis

Economic: Syrup

Canada is extremly strong in terms of economy. Their export-hit the maple-syrup is well known around the world and a very expensive product. Although Canada has a lot of other recourses like oil and gold, they are lacking in terms of weapon and people who have the will to fight. 

 

 

Fourth Section: DigitalHermit

Country: Japan

Population:  ~67M

Ideology: Militaristic

Government: Imperial... The emperor's word is the law... Partly a dictatorship...

Production/Economy: Agricultural, Industrial.... Heavy naval production....

The Japanese are strong and tactical fighters who excell at naval fights. They have internal problems, because a lot of people still get supressed. Due to their research agreement with Germany, they are the most advanced country in the world. However, they have to import food due to the lack of ground. 

Fifth Section: techswede

Name: Soviet Union

Flag:

Population: 130,000,000 
Ideology/government: Socialism. And stalin was head of state. So work camps, Mass arrests, Executions without trials etc etc
Economic: collectivization of agriculture and rapid development of heavy industry. (Basically government owned farms for food. And heavy industry to make tanks,planes,cars etc)
 
As the greatest enemy of Germany and the USA, the Soviet Union has gotten to its state because of disciplin and the biggest army in the world. However the political situation is unstable due to many people that are missing. 

 

Sixth Section: Captain_WD

Name: Bulgaria

Population: 6,000,000 

Ideology/government: Monarch-ruled parliamentary republic, aimed to develop mostly agriculture and establish strong relationships with Germany and Austria-Hungary Empire.

Economic: Agricultural mostly, but with great improvements in industrial production. First country to use Airplane bombing (World War 1).  

As a relativly poor country, Bulgaria managed to still be at the top in terms of technology. Their airpower is enormous and despite lacking foot soldiers, their efficiency is unreached 

Seventh Section: Digital Hermit

Country: Germany, Third Reich

Ideology: Militaristic, Nazism

Government: Dictatorship

Production/Economy: Industrial... Land vehicles, aircraft, artillery, chemical weaponry, medicine

 

The Germans are an organized bunch with clockwork-like operational precision... They excel in land-based battles where speed and coordination are key. They also have fearsome tactics in naval battles which make use of then unorthodox methods to strike... They hold a research agreement with Japan for multiple technologies...

Two days per turn? This will take a while, xD.

 

There should be levels of turns, such as:

 

micro-turn: where internal affairs, and active players may interact with one another, and may occur once every 2 hours.

Mini-turn: Random events may take place, giving players time during their turn to decide what to do, may occur up to once every 8 hours.

Half turn: Active players may War with one another.

Turn: everything else, such as launching attacks on inactive players.

Ok, lets say one day, but that what your idea is, would be waay to much work. I also have work to do. Maybe i will add some of the ideas in the next game if this one is succesful!

This would help fend off boredom.

 

We can assume players that miss a day will continue with their last action?

yep. if you don't enter with your turn at the deadline, your civ will just do nothing at that time ;)

 

added something to do with war, you can basicly capture a lot of countries ;D

just a thought, what if instead of a strict by day schedule, we get updates as soon as everyone enters either their turn, or sends a pass?

 

we would skip them at the end of the day like @StarFire suggested.

yeah, that is possible, but i don't think all will always submit every day

Exactly, if someone doesn't submit within the day, we assume their last command stands and we move on, keeping one person from hanging up the game, but allowing us to keep moving if everyone has already gone.

 

Basically, the turn ends as soon as: it is 8PM CEST, or when everyone has submitted a move, whichever comes first.

 

Logic flow:

if time is 8PM CEST;{end turn, post results, Start new turn.}else if everyone has submitted their move;{end turn, post results, announce end of turn, start new turn.}else{wait until one of above is true}

uk and bulgaria haven't submitted their turn yet ;)

 

I'm so excited to see how the first turn turns out. (pun intended)

 

I hope my move doesn't take too long to enact, as the tech is relativity easy to produce, and my propaganda is strong.
