His budget is about $1700 NZD and he will be buying PC parts from a NZ supplier. CPU: Intel i7 4790k ($450) Motherboard: Asus z97M-Plus ($170) GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 Windforce 3X OC 2GB ($340) RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz ($115) PSU: Antec High Current Gamer HCG-750M 750W ($150) CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H55 ($90) Case: Bitfenix Ghost ($140) HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 64MB 2TB ($105) Monitor AOC e2450swh ($195) Total = $1755 I'm pretty sure this should all work, I am welcome to any suggestions or feedback that you may have Thanks for your time! Posted October 30, 2014 Those prices for NZ are very good though I'd drop the i7 to an i5 and upgrade the graphics card to a 290 / 970 if you can stretch to it. Posted October 30, 2014 You could use a lower psu and if you have the money a 280x,285 Beware of him that is slow to anger; for when it is long coming, it is the stronger when it comes, and the longer kept. Posted October 30, 2014 Author Thanks for the quick replies, it seems as if the 970, 290 are out of too pricey still when dropping it down to a i5, is there truly and huge performance benefits between a 285 and 290. or will a 285 suffice?
