Help with picking a mobo

Go to solution Solved by Sintezza,

I play games such a minecraft, GTA V (When is comes out) and Battlefield 4. (All at 1920 by 1080p) I also enjoy streaming.

ah okay, yeah wenn you like to stream aswell, and you are on a tighter budget

Then FX8350 might be a good choice indeed.

The i5-4690K will offcourse be better for gaming, But gaming + streaming, the FX8350 might be a better choice.

Unless you could stream using Qsync, But i dont realy know how well Qsync works.

But i suppose some guys with more knowledge about qsync will jump in.

THe only thing i do hope, is that this topic doesnt get screwed by all the intel fanboys, like most other topics about AMD. :)

I am planning to buy an FX 8350, MSI R9 280 3GB and an  M5A99FX PRO R2.0. I know my cpu will fit into this motherboard. If you have any better suggestions please tell me for this price range. I'm not sure if my graphics card will be compatible in this motherboard. My graphics card is PCIe 3.0 x16 and as you can see this motherboard is only PCIe 2.0 x16. I was also thinking on putting in my ASUS HD 7750 DDR5 1GB card alongside the R9 280. Will this slow down the speed of anything?

The mobo's specs

Expansion Slots

2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (dual x16)
2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black)
1 x PCIe 2.0 x1
1 x PCI

Would I see a large  performance decrease from my 280 if I put in both cards?

No, there'd be little to no difference.

nop because you can run dual 280´s on 16X pci-e 2.0, which is totaly the same as dual 8x pci-e 3.0 on intels Z97 platform for example.

However, my question to you is, which games do you like to play mainaly?
