I know this is a weird question but is the intel stock heatsink airtight in it's original box to ensure the pre-applied thermal paste doesn't dry up?

I got one a few days ago and I kinda opened it up but not gonna assemble it for a few more weeks, do I need to worry about it drying up?

It didn't dry up in the time it was sitting the the warehouse and while it was in transit, it will be fine for awhile.

Even if it is, thermal paste is cheap. Get some Arctic Silver and be done with it if you don't want the stock paste.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
