My rig running SC?

Hey, does anyone know if a R9 280 and a A10-6790K will run SC? I'm pretty worried about the CPU and weather or not it will fair well under the PU side of SC.

The 280 will be fine, how strong is the CPU side of the apu?

I now the GPU is fine, and of course the iGPU will be turned off for less heat.

I've seen that in a certain benchmarking site, my CPU is 3 times what is minimally needed for SC, but only ~65% what is recommended.

I've seen that in a certain benchmarking site, my CPU is 3 times what is minimally needed for SC, but only ~65% what is recommended.  

Recommended specs mean nothing yet. It is all up to debate and too early to say what hardware will be needed to run the game, although we know that Star Citizen will be CPU (and GPU) heavy.

cant remember. I used two in cf and got around 60 something on high settings but I have a better cpu then you so that's also something to consider.

If I still had my itx pc I could check but I sold it and im to lazy to open up my current pc to swap gpu just to test.

My athlon x3 450 really struggled and I was lucky to get 20-30fps on it, you have an extra core so that might be enough to push you to a stable 30fps

Arena Commander is CPU heavy at the moment and currently pushing my 8350 to use all 8 cores whereas the last 2 usually sit idle on most other games, its hit or miss ATM.

Yeah I should think so. Which should be playable as you don't really notice 30fps unless your turning sharply.
