Newegg failed to process my order? - Help!

Ok, so first things first, I'm a college student from NY using his leftover college funds to try and purchase my PC components with my M&T Visa debit card. I cashed in my check yesterday (technically now 2 days ago) and was immediately able to purchase things right afterwards (I bought a headset at a local store).

So I have 8 items, they altogether cost over 1,300 USD, I enter in everything correctly (I double check to make sure), the order processes, and I get an email saying it failed.

Da...hell?...Anyways, my assumption is that there's a daily spending cap on the card (you know cause banks are afraid someone stole your card and blah blah) ...M&T bank is stupidly cryptic so I can't figure out what that cap actually is (through their website anyways). My assumption is 1k USD.

Any ideas what's wrong? Is it not a spending cap? Anyone else got a M&T Visa card (or just a Visa card of some sorts) and know what the problem is? Really would appreciate the help.

THE ISSUE HAS BEEN SORT OF RESOLVED, THE BANK GAVE ME A STARTING AMOUNT, BUT THEY HAVEN'T FULLY PROCESSED THE CHECK YET.

Chances are your bank cap is $500, just call your bank and have them take the spending cap off for 24 hours.

Try contacting your bank. If that fails contact Newegg

Imma see if what the first guy said is true. I'm going to attempt to buy something that's under 500 dollars and see if it goes through. If it does, then I'll contact my bank and be like "Ey, can you raise the cap, cause that'd be lovely" lol.

Is that typically what it is?

Most of the time, yes. I have ran into this same problem a couple of times myself.

Yep...I think that might have been it. Newegg hasn't sent me a single email since I bought the CPU by itself. Whereas the entire build immediately sent me a order list kinda thing and then the failed order email within like 10 minutes...still waiting, it's been like 5+ minutes so far. So the wait is technically a good sign.

Nope...cancelled again. I'm going to have to call the bank tomorrow. :/

The only other thing I can think of as to why the card keeps getting denied,is that the address on the card does not match up with the billing address.

The card and billing address have to be the same or any company will denie the card from going through. The shipping address can be different but the card and billing have to match up.

Nope those should be the exact same. I've heard the "verify with Visa" thing at the end is what's screwing up my order. Others have had the same problem.

Might be! +1.

Local banks here send a verification pin before checkout making sure your the person behind the purchase. Just extra measures of security I guess.

Yeah, Ive only used the "secure with Visa" check out once, it went through fine for me, but I also read somewhere were people were having issues with it, so you just might be right bro.

Apparently simply cancelling the "verify with Visa" login makes the order go through regardless...? (it's verify, not secure, I corrected my earlier post)

How about buying you PC components in groups that will keep under your cap. It may be two or three group purchases but you will have your stuff.

No I actually found out the money didn't get COMPLETELY (keyword) processed and I have to wait a bit longer...(they start you off with like 200 dollars though which was why I was so confused).

B) This is proof nothing good comes from an assumption.
