Hey guys,

I am a gamer who has been playing video games on a console. I want to get into PC gaming but dont want to spend loads of money (dont we all).

My budget is between $500-600. I have new egg membership, and amazon prime so shipping isnt a problem. I dont have an OS for this new system yet, but im thinking of getting windows 8.1 with a student discount from MS. I went to PcPartPicker a week ago and came up with a couple builds. Please, if you see anything that should be changed from these build, just comment. I already have a monitor and keybord/mouse. I also dont plan on OC anytime soon. Thanks

Also I forgot to add that i would like to play games like Runescape, Minecraft, Dayz, Civilization, and possibly some AAA games such as COD, Battlefield, Titanfall. I would like this system to run these games between med-ultra 1080p. Also with fps between 30+.

Thanks

Check out Austin Evans's youtube channel. He does a lot of PC builds for budget builds and benchmarks them too.

Have you considered the Pentium G3258 by the way? $50 overclocking beast. @EmberVortex

That's quite a bit more than just the upper limit of the budget considering it doesn't count in tax and is reliant on rebates.

I have no idea what the tax rate is there. Obviously.

Rebates are still money back.

Rebates are still money back.

The tax is applied before rebates.
