This is to show you what you can really do with that budget. I suggest going for a single GTX 970 though. For gaming, rendering and editing, you can't go wrong with this. Maybe even go for a GTX 980 instead. WD Blacks and 840 Pros are way overpriced for what they are. The Barracuda and M500 will do fine. You can even double the capacities of both and only spend about $35 more than a 256GB 840 Pro and 1TB WD Black.

I'd go for something like this, a bit ore than you had spent, but you can cut costs by grabbing a 1080p monitor and one less GTX 970.
