. . . . Well I seem to have some trouble even starting Ultima (just crashes after some opening cut scene)

I bought Theme Hospital from them ... its from 1997 :P

Legend of Grimrock (II) is from 2012, that's post 2005 . . . .

I like GOG the most out of all the digital distribution platforms. Almost all of the games are cheaper there(at least for people from EU). They have pretty good support and refund policy(if the game doesn't work they will help you fix it and if that doesn't work you get a refund. Of course there is a reasonable time limit there. You can't start complaining about a game that you bought months ago).

I have all the games downloaded so even if I have internet problems I can play games from GOG.

Sometimes you can get an awesome soundtrack.

They work on all of their older games so they would have minimal problems running on modern system(steam for example doesn't do that).

One negative thing I have with them is that currently they don't have an auto update system for games. But this will be solved with GOG Galaxy. And we'll get sort of universal multiplayer back end so older games with multiplayer can work through that.

Overall GOG is the first place I'll look for a game and then other platforms.

gog is good.

Anyone who has a sister hates the fact that his sister isn't Kasugano Sora.
Anyone who does not have a sister hates the fact that Kasugano Sora isn't his sister.
I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

So they have Indie games too. Is that really so big problem? Most games are older type anyway and released to WinXP or olders.

I like them more than Steam as reseller. Site is much easier to navigate, pricing is more reasonable. And their summer sale is much better.

Looking forward to the new gog universe client, it looks like it will be a nice way to manage your gog games and installation, and friend like, like Steam minus the DRM.

Also, if you sign up for the gog galaxy beta they are giving away AvP (2000) for free.

Enjoy.
