Can i use Nvidia with FX 9000 series?

So i was reading amd's 9000 series intsall guide, and i stumbled upon this:

 

Table 4. Recommended Components for AMD FX-9000 Series CPUs: Graphics Card

Only AMD Radeon™ branded graphics Add-in-Boards (AIB) are recommended for use with an AMD FX-

9000 Series CPU with the minimum AIB being an AMD Radeon™ HD7970 AIB

 

So WTF can i use an nvidia card?

Yes, of course you can. AMD just likes to throw that in for marketing I guess.

But please don't buy a FX9000 series CPU.
