Help with windows

So I'ma try to say this without sounding like a asshole but I downloaded a illegal version of Windows 8. Now I need to go to Windows 7(I bought this one) and need to know how would i go about uninstalling windows 8? to put the windows 7 on my PC?

Reformat hard drive. Just install W7 along side W8. You can also reformat/overwrite the old W8 partition during the W7 installation. You don't really "uninstall" Windows.

You don't uninstall operating systems.

If you wanted a clean install then just pop the Windows 7 CD/Flash drive into your machine. Go to your BIOS and change where to boot from (the location of your new Windows 7). And restart your PC. Windows Installer will ask if you want to format your old disk (yes). And everything else should be self explanatory throughout the installation wizard. 

If you run into any hiccups, then grab a laptop/smartphone and Google it!

Boot Windows 7 disc/usb and format and install of if you want to keep the data on your primary drive install without formatting but I'd recommend you do.

You could partition the drive and dual boot...

Don't dual boot. You have an illegal OS. Best thing is to just make it go away.

 

Boot from the Windows disc (or a thumb drive containing the Windows installer) instead of booting into Windows, and follow the instructions. Installing Winders is easy.

Once you reformat the hard drive your data is scrubbed but it can be retried, which is a tedious task to a beginner. What i think you are referring to is installing win7 with out reformatting the HDD in which Win8 and all the data will go in a folder called windows.old. This only happens if you don't reformat the HDD.

You can start to install Windows7 and when you reach to this screen

choose Custom then choose the HDD you want to install Win7 on but DO NOT reformat your HDD and then after installing Win7 you will have a folder on the C drive called windows.old and there you can copy all needed data to your Win7 OS and when you are sure you have completely copied everything you want, you can just delete the windows.old folder.
