Two things I would suggest. First, look it up on youtube and watch people explain how to type.

Second, The J and F key have notches in them because you put your pointer fingers there. On your left hand you rest the rest of your fingers on D, S and A. Then, on your right hand you rest your fingers on K, L and : ; Both of your thumbs rest on the space bar.

It's a very simple concept after that. Each finger presses the keys that are closest to where you rest your fingers. Left pinky presses Q, shift keys are pressed with your pinkies, R T G B V are all pressed with your left pointer, U Y H N M are pressed with your right pointer. Your fingers simply move up and down.

Also, I guess a third tip would be to  NOT look at your fingers. You need to just know where the keys are on the keyboard. You will eventually just memorize and just know where they keys are as you continue typing.

Honestly, I learned to type from playing PC games. Before I would have to look all the time, but after playing PC games that require certain buttons to be pressed all the time, you eventually learn the keyboard. Since I learned from gaming though, I only use my middle 3 fingers rather than all (except for thumb and pinky for space and shift).
