Before I press the buy button.. Quick check..

Well, I'm 90% sure on pressing the buy button and finally upgrading from my gtx570 i7 960 2.8Ghz to the build below... Let me know what you think guys... I have nagging feeling I should wait till Q4 next year for that 20nm and skylake! (hard drives will be coming from the current system Western Digital Blacks and Samsung SSD). Aiming for a safe stable cool overclock to 4Ghz and no OC on GFX card.

Seems pretty decent to me though not sure what its for

If just gaming, you can do better, perhaps just get a 4790k, also no need for 1000w PSU, you could get a second 980 for what you save (as well as a cheaper motherboard) but for a balanced build including editing etc then it seems fine

I'm sure people would disagree against going with a 5930k for gaming, most people would probably suggest a 4790k.

If you're gaming, and only gaming, I would recommend a 4790k and get two 980s.

If your video editing etc, your build looks fantastic.

Your motherboard should include sata cables, you don't need thermal compound as the h105 includes some pre-applied unless you are cleaning it off, PSU is overkill, Evga 850G2 should be fine, what are you planning to use this for?

Edit: just checked your profile, definitely a solid build for you,  just have a look at my other points.

System is is targeted for:

1. System will be on for 16 hours a day (ish)

2. Work station for Adobe Creative suite and various programming tools (I live between photoshop / Illustrator / Ultraedit / Notepad++ / Aptana / FlashBuilder etc)

3. Server - From time to time depending on my work I will be running either wamp and iis, grinding out database listing formatting or db tasks etc, but it will be duel booting into ubuntu for easy linux access which will have apache and mysql installed also

4. In the evenings it will be games, dvd/blue ray playback and IT R&D

5. Will be powering 3 screens 2x1080p and 1x2560x1699 (only gaming on 1 x 1080p however)

Then it seems perfectly fine

No point getting the thermal compound (although you might have use for it in the future), you wont need sata cables either unless you are adding extra drives

Personally I would aim for a bigger SSD but that is just me

Go for it. You have a win on your hands.  The PSU might be a bit overkill though...

A solid build overall, but here are some recommendations.

1) I would personally not go for Inno3D as what little I have heard of them have been negative and full of complaints. Neither would I go for Superflower as I have never heard anything good about them (this is though things I have heard/read. So don't starting hating on them for no reason just because I don't like them ;) )

2) On the topic of PSU: Get a lower wattage one. There have been confirmed reports of 4 980s using about 700 watts combined so using something like an AX760i (or whatever other PSU brand you have good experience with) would be more than sufficient since the other parts don't use enough power for that to make such a large impact. If you want to add a 2nd one down the road that should suffice as well, but if you are paranoid to hell like my (I guess my own signature speaks for itself...) then you might want to increase that to around 850 watts.

Other than that the rest of my reservations are purely based on looks, so enjoy :) Nice build and love your avatar/profile gif thingy ;)

System will be taking parts from my current rig:

3 x WesternDigital Caviar Black drives (2x1tb and 1x2tb)
1 x Samsung 256GB SSD (boot drive)
1 x (forgot make) 256GB SSD (www drive for apache - pc wont boot from it and RMAd twice but works for data use)

1 x Blue Ray  RW / DVD RW / CD RW Drive

Got some cheap rubbish SATA cables in there, keep getting event log issues device at port errors etc, give cable a jiggle and its fine for a few days again.

RE: PSU - As my machine is on for such a long time every day and there is a chance of another 980 joining the system next year, 1000w flower power should be good.

RE: Inno3D GFX Card - As its reference design it shouldn't matter (i think) as the company who gets it only changes the box colour and the rest is nvidias stock. (i think).

Good feedback, thanks guys :)
