Windows 8.1 or wait for Windows 10?

I was thinking about upgrading to Windows 8.1 but then Windows 10 was announced and now I am debating on waiting for 10 or not. Should I wait for 10 or just go ahead and upgrade to 8.1?

Unless you're on a tablet then definitely wait out till Windows 10. It makes a lot more sense with a keyboard and mouse/trackpad then 8.1

Windows 10 will come out around May next year I think, so a long way off. I would wait, it looks much better than 8.1, but I wouldn't hold off building a new PC for win 10.

Having used Windows 7 and 8.1 I don't think 8.1 is different enough to warrant upgrading -- especially for full price. We'll see if this changes with Windows 10.

8.1 is $20 on G2A or you could just get Win10 now just saying and buy full version later... plus Win7 is still fine for daily use...

get win 8.1 cheap then most likely you will get an upgrade option for win 10 which has been the norm but its also a bit of a gamble.
