Rm 850 or CM V850

Go to solution Solved by PlayModeOn,

Just get the V850. It is one of the best PSU out there and plus has a premium and elegant look.

http://img5a.flixcart.com/image/psu/g/8/j/cooler-master-vanguard-850-w-400x400-imadmhevuapgncgc.jpeg

I am also looking into the V850 or V1000 but when I heard of the efficiency of the new Nvidia GPUs I don't think I'll need 1000W but they are good for adding more accessories like fans and devices into your case and cooling and overclocking ofcourse.

If you are in a market for a new case I would recommend the Cosmos II along side the V850, both have striking similarities with that aluminium texture.

More hardware should adopt brushed aluminium, it can make anything look pretty, even a boring power supply.

I'd think the Seasonic X-850 and Corsair AX850i are pretty darn good as well.  Comparable at least.

just one thing about the CM v850, the cables are not really sleeved, you will see the colored cabela unlike with the rm850 or some

others :) so if you want aesthetics, do not take the v850 :)

You don't need a 850W PSU for 980 in SLI. 650W is enough. I'd go with this one; http://uae.dtcae.com/product/seasonic-m12ii-620-bronze-620w-80-plus-bronze-4614/

Also you don't save money at all between bronze/gold.

yeah your right but I already have a 650w one and its failing on me. So I have to Rma it so i thought why not upgrade in process of Rma.

This time I wanna make sure I get a powersupply that is enough for my next few upgrades.

So it really has to be a 850W then?

Sorry for the late reponse. I'd say go with the AX760 (non-I) over the V750, it's semi-passive, platinum rating and a 7 years warranty. They're pretty similar to each other, both are based on the high-end Seasonic platforms though.

Thanks for answer but it is also pretty expensive for me. I am thinking to go with v850 or evga g2 850w and pay 100usd shipping

Again, the V850 doesn't look bad at all, the AX760 and the AX860 have a higher efficiency, which also makes it safe to say that they are more expensive.
