I'm looking to downsize from my 350D, its looks good and is functional but its big and a pain to keep moving it around (I move around often with it, otherwise it wouldn't be a big deal.

So I'm looking for a small mATX case, as small as possible and tough! I looked at the Prodigy M but it seemed way too flimsy with all that plastic, plus it was still quite large. Ideally I would get something that was 100% metal. I don't care about the weight just as long as it's tough and tiny. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Additional info:
would need a couple 3.5" and 2.5" hard drive mounts.
Sace for an optical drive, even if its a slim slot-loading one.
Atm i'm running an 240mm aio cooler, I could swap that out for a tower cooler, no problem.
Dust filters would be useful to have too but I could make do without or retrofit some later.
In terms of style, I like minimalist styling but dislike plasticy facades even the one on the 350D.
I don't mind about windows as long as it doesn't mess with the structural integrity so I guess a small window would be ideal.

It had crossed my mind to fabricate my own chassis but I don't have the time, so if possible I would like to just buy one. I know a case that fits this description probably doesn't exist but if one does, I'm sure one of you will know of it. But suggestions of anything close would be helpful. Thanks for your input.

I've been eyeing this up lately.

All aluminum, very bare bones, though. I'd recommend using the back fan as intake, as it is filtered, and the venting on the front and bottom will naturally exhaust because of the positive pressure.

Lian-Li and Silverstone also have some nice compact mATX cases, but they're more expensive.

yea

Thanks.

Agreed. I was thinking of the Node 804.

I like the look of the 804, it looks nice, in pictures it looks quite wide, I've been looking our for 1 so I can judge in person. I think I will try to make some cardboard mock-ups as I have had no luck finding one so far.

It looks nice but probably too tight inside, I'd be concerned about thermals too.

I found a classic unboxing of the sg09 that Linus did 2 years ago. Layout is great, though its the ugliest little case I've seen in a while.

Love that lian li, I've been eyeing it up since I first saw it on Logan's channel. I can't help thinking that it's not that strong with the whole top being acrylic, I wouldn't feel comfortable loading it up in a car. especially if I had to place anything on top of it. Maybe if i could get a toughened glass replacement, but that would be a pain.

I was also eyeing up the pc-v 355 and v358 but the same with them all, its hard to get a good size comparison without literally seeing them either in person or side by side.
