Monitor effects GPU performance?

MikeProg

Ok my question is this, can my Monitor cause my GPU performance to bottleneck? My GPU is an OEM GTX 645, my monitor is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176161 and I have it connected through a Displayport to DVI-D converter cable because my GPU does not support DVI-D and the monitor has no HDMI. So if I upgrade my monitor to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236103R aside from the image quality, can I expect to see increases in my GPU's Performance since it is a better quality monitor and would not require any converters?

The monitor only displays what your gpu produces. The only way it can "effect" performance is with the resolution of the screen, making your gpu work more to produce an image.
