Whenever I drag a window from my first screen to my second screen, it looks like it's moving at like 20 fps, I can see it moving choppy. This also happens when I'm watching a video, even when I'm not dragging to my other screen. How the hell is this even possible? Also, when I play a game the screen just becomes choppy even though fraps says I have like 300 fps.. VSync doesn't solve anything.
I've got a 4670k and a GTX 780, both overclocked so I don't see how my specs could be an issue.

I think it has something to do with windows but I'm not sure on that. Anyone know what I can do to maybe fix this? :(

What are you using as a monitor? This sounds like a bottle neck of some sort.

I'll agree with ttam. Usually means not enough ram. How much ram do you have?

Paging normally means not enough ram.

do you think it could be a driver issue with the 780?

8GB RAM and less than half is being used..

Run a memtest. Chance it's bad ram.

do you think it could be a driver issue with the 780?

It can be. Maybe 15% of the time with this issue it's either a bad driver or the GPU isn't getting enough power.

I've reverted and reinstalled drivers a few times so it's probably not that. I have a RM1000 PSU I got for a cheap price recently, and had a CX500 before. The problems were also present with my CX500 so it's not the PSU at least.. I'll do a memtest and see if it's bad memory tho.

That is a tricky one. Open up a performance viewer when it starts to happen and see if ram/cpu/anything starts to spike

Memtest passed, no spikes because it happens even when my pc is still booting up and only using ~2.5G of ram. Looks like I'm gonna have to try and reinstall windows if this keeps happening, it honestly seems like a problem with windows.

I think I found the culprit! dwm.exe goes up to 25% CPU usage when I move a window across the screen, and sometimes it randomly goes up to like 10-15% as well. I've tried looking around on google but didn't really find anything. Anything you can do with this info?

Edit: Believe it or not, it's gotten worse.. Windows now look like they're moving at about 5 fps when I'm dragging them around, my whole system is screwed up now lol. dwm.exe constantly at 20% CPU and even higher when I'm moving windows around.

Second edit: killing the dwm process makes windows smooth as ever before, but I get a lot of screen tearing and white borders around the windows when I move them around and stuff like this on the side of the screen(when I move them around).
