Did you read it? Doesn't make any sense does it. It has to be either some form of error (on my part, or LTT's), or falsification on LTT's part, although I sincerely hope they didn't lie or something.

Could you link it? I have no idea where that is lol

They always provide .docs with their videos when they test things like this. I managed to push mine to 1526 but it eventually crashed out. I guess 1475 is all I get. Damned silicone lottery.

1475 is still amazing. The stock boost clock is 1178 (Reference card) so a +300mhz OC is still great. My highest was 1525/1545 stable (can't remember) so you didn't lose the silicon lottery at all.

Checked the dock and everything looked fine on the chart. Different cards OC differently so they might not have been able to OC as much as we can.

These Strix's are heavy fuckers... I think every single one sags...

 

Also, if you ever intend to get one for overclocking... Stay away. Only early versions like mine have Samsung memory.. hynix overclocks terribly.. :/

I chained some twist ties and held up my STRIX by the end of the shroud to the drive bay cage. Pretty janky solution, but it works.

So I noticed that the VRM get pretty hot: 90 - 100°C in average at full load (Witcher 3 Ultra settings for instance). Anyone else experiencing the same? Is that an issue or completely normal?

Just got mine and it's huge, heavy and it sags but it's very quiet and very cool.

Visited this thread just a bit too late.... Went ahead and ordered an Air 240 and a Strix 970  :( but no worries got the Air 240 changed to a NZXT S340 and it should arrive on Monday :3 Then I can finally get to building my first gaming pc !
