Any Asus GTX 970 Strix Owners

It looks like an awesome card; silent, fast and a pretty backplate. My problem with it is how bloody tall it is. The SLI connectors and heatpipes protrude quite high above the PCI bracket, and I remember reading in a couple of reviews that it was around 140mm high (if anyone has an exact measurement that'd be awesome).

My question is whether or not it would fit inside a Corsair Air 240. I have a horrible feeling the answer will be no. :/

Anybody able to shed some light on this?

He said 140mm/14cm not 14 inches.

Edit: Okay I guess 14cm is kind of large too...

He edited it. It used to say 14"

What we really need to know Strix owners is : Does the card lean AT ALL like the 7 series cards?

That's not a STRIX 970 as the STRIX 970 has only a single 8pin power connect not an 8pin + 6pin as depicted.

Mine friend has one in his cooler master elite 120 which is smaller than the corsair air 540 so it should work

Smaller yes, but your case has a lot more height for a graphics card. (Which is what we are talking about here)

So I'd like the two guys who bought the card in this thread to reply. Strange, it's been a week. I'll ship you a screwdriver if that would speed up the process :P

Well I'm not OP, but I do own this card so maybe you want to hear from me?

No coil whine whatsoever. I play with Vsync OFF in Battlefield 4 and have it running at 100fps minimum so if there was coil whine, I would hear it

Overclocks like a madman... 1.5ghz Core with only +37mV offset and 71C max temperature.. lots of room to go but really... no need. I will do it just so I know what the limit is, but 1.5ghz seems like a nice number to stick to

0Db fan until 60C is amazing.  At 71C, I can't figure out if I'm hearing the GPU fans or my dual 140mm fans on the silver arrow HS.  This is very good.

In all, there isn't a single damn thing I can complain about and I think this is the greatest card ever made

So, no card lean at all? I'm either getting the strix, or the G1, and the only deciding factor is the weight of the strix, and whether it sags or not. :)

The STRIX has a backplate and brace ... It wont sag at all.
