I have a 3770k that I want to sell online but I'm not sure how to do it properly.

Is the safest way through a paypal transaction over ebay or are there safer ways where I am guaranteed payment?

Ebay? Really?

Yes. It's safe. I use it - it used to have a lot of scammers, but that has gone down greatly.

I've heard of some people on ebay filing a complaint and the seller is forced to give a refund to the buyer even though the item was shipped.

its more of an issue if its new.

I had an issue with ebay buying a brand new mouse and it buggered up after a week so it was under warranty still - was a nightmare to get a replacement

sell it used and give as much specs as you can and wrap it up good when you ship it

Its all about those volumetric clouds

It's actually a new 3770k in box still that I want to sell. I guess its easier to ship that and describe it on ebay?

Ebay is very secure if you follow the guidelines and use prudent selling methods.  For example, always give an option to pick-up, charge for postage if not picked up, never post before any payment has cleared, used registered post where possible, and communicate with the buyer.  I've been using eBay for a long time now and have had no issues when following these simple guidelines.
