Favorite editing/rendering software?

Looking for a good video editing and render software. Would like to know what you use and why you recommend it. I have heard good things about Adobe Premiere but i have not used it. Thanks in advance for recommendations! :D

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

Sony vegas.

Premier would be my second choice.
