Time to Build your Smartphone :D

VerticalDiscussions

[New Post] So yeah as most of us already know and got flashed in the web news claiming that Intel will invest 1.500.000.000 $ in chinese chip manufacturers :L, to fight back the loss in phones they took over Qualcomm? They might as well start already with the modifiable smartphone industry that is so highly wished for  :D that will be 150% more efficient, long lasting and powerful than ever before reducing by a large scale the waste amount "Just 5 times more money wasted in your smartphone.....". I guess it would be really awesome if we were able to implant/re-implant and aquire those so called famous 'Modular Smartphones' with whatever modules we could buy {Memory,Camera,Storage,Processor/Co-Processors). So Intel invested in Spreadtrum Communications and RDA Microelectronics to expand its mobile market. Well perhaps 12 cored intel smartphones may come in 2-3 years? But thats all meaningless if we think of the advantages of having high tech lego smartphones in your pockets.  It would be fabulous  -_- . Well thats it everyone and reply the post if you want and dont forget  (NO OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE) Period!  I just want respect thats all  ;) .

PhoneBlocks is an interesting concept but I think it'll flop.

I also absolutely no interest in a device like that. I like my devices to be as slim and streamlined as possible and that would not be.

@VerticalDiscussions, I have heard this before on a UK Tech show called Click. So it's no news to me unfortunately. ;)

BTW, asking people to not use offensive language doesn't work (speaking from experience). They'll go out of their way to use it.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

@dizmo knows what's up.  Phoneblocks is a cool concept and all, but I really don't see it being practical. Plus, judging by how often the general consumer drops their phone, I can't help but think that people could end up losing their CPU, or RAM or something.

QUOTE ME OR I PROBABLY WON'T SEE YOUR RESPONSE

Why 12-core??? I've seen 8-core phones that I still think are pointless at this point in time...

This may be the start of the 'core wars'... A modern day equivalent of the 'bit wars' that happened back in the 80s (?)...

Well maybe I'll try your method. Instead of asking nicely I'll just say "NO OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE OR ELSE!" :P
