Budget: $5000.00 USD. Not willing to go over.

Aim: Purely Gaming. No video editing/recording.

Ultra settings on anything and everything is desired.

Monitor: one monitor 1440p or whatever games best.

Periphials: Need keyboard and mouse, gaming quality.

Why Upgrading: I have a ps1, playing metal gear solid over and over is getting boring. I refuse to buy another console.

I like the Corsair 900D case but not required. Plain looking is fine by me.

You don't need to spend 5k on what you just asked for.

Doesn't mean he can't.  :P

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

You could prob liquid cool the thing at that price

"Probably" liquid cool at $5000?

Not sure if trolling, or serious.

um... you can liquid cool your system for less than $200 with a closed loop (something like the glacer 240L), under $400 for a custom loop.

You don't need to spend 5k on what you just asked for.

It might edge pretty close for a dream machine though. Especially if you factor in the $800 for the Asus Swift monitor (which seems to make sense given his wants).

4k monitor included... You wouldn't really get much gain from a 5820k but maybe something from a 5930k. and a x99 motherboard but other then that you can't really get much else. 4 way sli scales like 10% so I wouldn't even bother.

Here's what I'd do with the budget.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($338.95 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: Swiftech H220-X 55.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($149.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: MSI Z97 XPOWER AC XL ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($379.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: GeIL EVO CORSA Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  ($164.92 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($429.00 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Green 3TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($106.99 @ Amazon)

Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($559.98 @ NCIX US)

Mouse: Mionix NAOS 7000 Wired Optical Mouse  ($55.74 @ NCIX US)
Total: $4296.12

You can save a lot by going with a smaller case, and different motherboard. I went with the case you said you liked, and a large motherboard...because I can't bear seeing unused space inside a windowed case.

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900 Cooler: EVGA CLC280 Motherboard: Gigabyte B550i Pro AX RAM: Kingston Hyper X 32GB 3200mhz

You would likely be better off looking through some rigs already built by others, and choosing one you like best

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/builds/#P=4146,5080

afterwards come back and post the build, and see if you can get it personalized a bit more

I appreciate your help. Looking at computer specs is like reading Chinese. I tried making the most vague request possible so I could see what most people agreed on to give myself a good idea of what's what. I can't just ask questions cause newbie questions are so annoying, plus I don't know what questions to ask.

This one has the processor I originally thought was good. I kept getting recommendations that the processor was not good for gaming.

It is a massive waste of money for just a gaming pc. You don't need a cpu that powerful.

yes they will get hot, but not hardware failure hot. that why they have 120mm AiO liquid coolers, because even giant air cooling isnt enough
