Endless automatic repair windows 8.1

TheWall

So i turned on my computer and it started an automatic repair, and when it finnished it restarted and said it was diagnosing my computer, after a while it said that it would have to restore my install in order to fix it, i restarted and it said the same thing again. I really want to avoid this, and i dont have any restore points. Is there anything at all i can do?

Get a windows install disk and try and repair windows or try and make a system image or backup and I'd reinstall.

What OS are you using?

It sounds like you need to Repair Install Windows. To do this, follow the guides from my friends at Seven Forums:

Windows 8/8.1: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/26095-repair-install-windows-8-a.html

Windows 7: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html

If you need the install ISO, please let me know, I can link you to the official iso if needed.

No. You need to boot from installation media to repair install.

Boot from the flash drive, then follow the rest of the directions from option 1 here: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2293-refresh-windows-8-a.html

Tuff luck, no love. Murphy's Law came and bit you in the derriere, your only option is to reinstall Windows.

If you need to backup your files before hands, you can use the GParted Live cd: http://gparted.org/livecd.php

Boot off of it, backup what files you need.
