Forgot this: try this program: TT DR offline meter. Just google it, I forgot where the link is from  :)

Load a song, and it will calculate the dynamic range of that song, on the left and right channel separately. Bad news is, it only works with WAV and MP3.

Is that the one used for DR library?

Meh, let's just say his qualification is a channel with 100k subscriber. You already got me and dear wizzie. Just 99.998 more subscriber to go, and that review unit is yours!!

Dunno. I don't even remember when I downloaded and installed it, and why, lol. It's on my desktop, never been used.

I have like... 110 suscribers lol. (And I make a video once in a blue moon.) I was actually thinking of making my first audio-orientated Youtube video, but the shots I took weren't good enough and I was too lazy to re-do.

I actually thought about that from a long time ago, doing reviews and stuffs. But, like I said, my conversational English sucks, big time. So yeah, nobody would want to listen to a channel with backwater English.... :(

  • 3 years later...

The older LCD-2 models required literally 10x the power (250 mW vs 25 mW) to hit 115 dB SPL. Most people ignore this fact and recommend overpowered amplifiers. The latest LCD-2 can be driven to 110 dB SPL from most cell phones.
