I just wanted to thank net flix for not English dubbing "Attack on Titan". I just started to watch it yesterday and I have to say wow this might be the best anime I have seen.

It's cool. And no, the dub isn't on there yet because Funimation. Pretty much every anime on Netflix can be set to Japanese VO with English subs, so that's nice.

 

Deadman Wonderland just got added. Good thing it's short, cuz I have work to do...

If you watch anime with English dub then you are a scrub.

 

English subs or don't even bother.

 

Also, i'm refusing to watch the anime. I began reading the manga and was getting into it, but then every random weaboo scrub began fanboying it when it got made into anime. I've stopped reading it since as well.

They can't because they never got permission to dub it. Plus, there is a dub of AOT available, it's just not finished. Only goes up to episode 13. Once the dub is complete, I'm sure that Netflix will add it to their service.

Besides, even if the dub was available, you would be able to switch between audio and subtitle options.

:P

 

I have to say wow this might be the best anime I have seen.

I wouldn't say the best, but it's a really great anime. Can't wait for season 2!

Well in @Fulgrim defense the AoT dubs voice acting is pretty bad but not excusable is his hipster status.

It's not a case of being hipster, i just hate the fanbase of the anime version.

 

Also, most anime tend to stray too far from the plot of the mangas which is a bit meh. And American voice actors are awful for anime, the only ones which are worthwhile dubbed, is Dragonball & Ergo Proxy. Every other English dub i've heard is shite.

It's not bad... It's not that great either... Keep digging elsewhere (i.e. not Netflix... You might find some gems buried among the many bad pieces...

Why the hate? The atmosphere of the series is better expressed with the original audio... (In any series actually... It's rare to find a good dub... Even then the good dub's expression is slightly off...)

Same can be said for subs, most official subs are decently localized, all fan subs either rip official subs, or they cant speak japanese for shit.

I am a newb i don't watch a ton of anime and this has been very enjoyable. Blow my mind people give me some suggestions. I love scifi-horror aliens is my favorite movie, dead space is my favorite game franchise. I like Akira, Helsing, Ninja Scroll, and from the west Spawn.
