So I recently replace my CPU from a AMD 4130 to a AMD 8350 and added a Hyper 212.I couldn't figure out how to mount it vertically so I installed it horizontal.I thought at first my hard drive was messed up because it was random spikes and not constant. My GPU gets really hot to the touch on games. However im not sure what the temps should be for it.I have a GTX 550 TI.Is it my graphics card overheating or my CPU.Whats the issue ? Could I have installed the CPU Cooler Wrong ?

1. Did you clean the thermal paste from the cooler and apply new thermal paste?

2. Did you plug the fans into the CPU fan headers?

the 550 Ti is not a very good graphics card so it might just not be able to handle the games

Your temps looks pretty average. Your card may be throttling itself once you've been gaming for awhile. I recommend downloading Gigabyte's OC Guru and viewing the graphs of temp and speed.

Post a picture after you've been gaming for a little while of the OC Guru.

The GPU temps look fine, but i'm worried about the CPU temps. 50c idle is a bit much.

Did you use too much thermal paste? Also, your 212 EVO should be blowing air out the arse of the case, not upwards.

I just happened to think, are you using OBS to stream? You may need to set a limit on your stream rate (KB/s). Also, look at your dropped frames. Are you dropping any frames at all? If so you may need to adjust your settings because you are using a mid level GPU.

You may have the internet speeds for it, but what if your GPU cannot handle dishing out that many frames? That's why I recommend looking at the dropped frames count at the bottom of OSB near bit rate.

Download GPU-Z and see if you are able to find a graph of your GPU utilization. http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

Post a picture after a little bit of gaming / streaming. Thanks!

I've noticed from my own system that the "fx-8350->package" temp is identical to the motherboard TMPIN2 and that the CPU temp listed under the motherboard is actually the cpu temp (in your case its 50°C) Id say thats kind of high compared to my temps altho I use watercooling and I have not overclocked:

As you can see my CPU temp is 51°C under load...!

Everything looks fine to me. If you are running with air cooling, it is expected that your idle temps will be decently high. Also your GPU temps look pretty good under full load, nothing to worry about there. I see a good functioning machine here.

If you want to see any more improvement on your CPU temps, buy some premium thermal paste and reapply. You can do this to your GPU as well ;)

There are tons of things that could cause frames to drop. Scenes of intense graphics, movement, color, cut scenes, loading scenes, etc. If your issue only comes when you stream, then I suggest you keep turning down the resolution settings on your stream until it stops.

Another option just occurred to me. If you care more about your viewing pleasure while streaming, and still want to stream at the higher resolution, open up task manager and set your game process's priority to high or real time. Follow this guide for a brief how - to. It was made in Windows XP, but the buttons are still all the same.
