Sapphire Vapor-X R9 270X 2GB or Dual-X R9 270x 4GB for 1280x1024 monitor????

Both are fine for that resolution of monitor but if you want to get a bigger monitor later get the 4GB card.

Vapor-X. No need for a 4GB card, especially if it does cost more

But he wont be able to run high res with a 270x anyway

I think he'll be able to run 1920*1080 fine. He can push 1920*1080 with this card, may not be able run games at a high or ultra though
