YES , 750 is good enough to play nicely with mods @ 1080p ( although not those crazy titan killing MEGA shaders mod , normal shaders ok )

Once you get into advanced mods like applied energisitcs and machines doing work for you the mods take a huge toll. Was getting about 500fps without mods, after I started adding machines I went to 200fps, now I am at 100fps with dips to 60fps. Add shaders to it and I dip to 40fps. Shaders are amazing and I wish minecraft could better utilize gpus. I know my system could handle the best shaders if it was a proper game not coded in java. But eh, maybe microsoft will do something good with it.

My Rig :  Case: Cooler Master HAF X ,Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H,PSU: Seasonic SS-750KM3,Processor: Core I7 4770k (overclocked 4.7ghz),Cooler: Corsair H100i, GPU: EVGA GTX 780 with acx cooler, RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 16gb DDR3 1600 (overclocked to 2000mhz), HDDS  Samsung 840 EVO 250 gb SSD , Western digital  2tb 7200 rpm 64mb cache, Old 1tb laptop drive I had , 320gb for os backup daily, 80gb external for weekly backups,Drives 2x Lg Blu Ray burner WH16MS40,MISC: Tp-Link dual band wireless card, Logitech g510s, Razer Deathadder 2013, Acer G236HLBbd 23" monitor, Old tv I had 23" for secondary monitor, old 32" samsung tv third monitor

That might be your cpu causing that , because of all the calculations it has to do with applied energistics and Buildcraft industrialcraft and that shizwaz , mine was working  overtime

4770k at 4.7ghz, hardly the cpu limiting the computer. I mean it is in the sense the game mostly runs from the cpu. But if it was coded with a proper engine and could be rendered using the gpu I would get ridiculous frames in the game.
