Did I install it correctly(image)

Looks good Those hooks grab underneath the metal bar when the socket cover is flipped back and stabilize it, you can see by the way the bracket is holding the bar in place that there is no way they could be designed to go underneath the bar while the socket is in closed position.

 

The two notches in the CPUs PCB being filled in by the plastic protrusions on the socket also indicates that the CPU has been installed correctly.

seems fine to me, as long the little golden triangle on the CPU was properlly positioned then it should be a problem.

 

The little golden triangle is at the bottom left.
