Earlier I got "windows profiling service has stopped working" and then aero disabled and the performance theme was set

now I'm getting "host somthing or other has stopped working"

edit:  I'm also occasionally getting "program_errorxxx blank has failed to start", where no applications will open and all applications crash

anyone had this happen before?

I'm going to resinstall windows anyway (it's been a while), but I'm just curious

Did you mess around with any Registry's? Normally this happens when you mess around with stuff you are not suppose to :P

May I suggest this guide for reinstalling: http://www.overclock.net/t/1156654/seans-windows-7-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds

Somewhat misleading title...

Might as well just re-install windows, after a while some files tend to corrupt.
