The HyperX cloud is pretty good. I have the Logitech G35 and I'm loving it so far.

..with that mic you don't need gaming headsets, don't even consider it.

What source will you be using for your headphones? If motherboard, what motherboard?

Definitely go with headphones, stay away from headsets.

If you really want a microphone, either buy a seperate table Logitech mic, or look into ModMic. Others here will have more info on ModMic.

Oh wait, god, I just saw your microphone. Yeah, you definitely don't need a separate one at all. Certainly go with proper headphones, then.

- Sound blocking idk how its called?

Not entirely sure what you mean - maybe noise cancellation? As far as I know, this is pretty much a gimmick. But closed headphones will block out a lot of outside sound anyway. Others might know more on this.

- Must hear footsteps in first person shooter games,

Any stereo headphones will do this. The higher quality, obviously the easier it'll be to hear small details like footsteps.

Turtle Beach is a good brand for gaming headsets (footstep oriented). You would have to look at some reviews, because I now have a pair of P11's (about 50-60 euros) which have HORRIBLE sound leaking.

Please do not go with Turtle Beach. They may sound nice if you have nothing to compare them to, but honestly they are terrible for the price.

And trust me, 6-7 years ago I was into Turtle Beach myself. Had a pair of X41s or something? When I bought a proper pair of Sony headphones (the MDR-V6s, which are cheaper than most Turtle Beaches), I was blown away at how incredibly they sounded compared to the TB headset. Then when I went back and tried the TB headset again, it sounded terrible in comparison.

Since he already has a Mic, a pair of headphones is obviously a better choice. But, you're still hating on the Clouds? You know they're a pair of headphones, Takstar Pro 80s which are pretty good, with a mic slapped on. I can agree on most headsets, but generalizing all of them is just stupid.

christ no, don't do that.

What you're thinking of is sound isolating headphones, is there a particular reason you need that? Is your environment noisey or do you not want to be noisy in your environment?

I can't imagine why either would be the case, because you have a mic on so A) you're going to be making noise and B) any noise made will already be on the mic

But let's be honest, they are hardly the pinnacle of headphones. They are outshone in almost all aspects over similar priced Sony, Audio-Technica, Senheiser, Grado, etc. headphones.

Amazon.com doesn't even have any reviews for them.

You might be right, as you said I have not much to compare them to at it's price range. It was just a headset I bought because I wanted one for my PS3, that could utilize game and chat sound. It does, but I'll go for a different headset later. I just have trouble finding a headset with 3,5 mm jack and USB (As this is how I get game and chat audio in my headset)

An open headphone will give you a much better experience, but if you insist.

And to be clear, you mean noise isolating, not noise canceling. Noise canceling headphones won't do much of anything if you're just sitting at your desk and will arbitrarily make it worse.

I would suggest you look at something like an AT A900X, SRH440, SRH840, or perhaps a DT770.

Closed headphones will solve this. I can't hear shit outside of my headphones, and I live in a very noisy house. People can be outside my door calling me, and I normally can't hear them.

So amazon reviews mean anything now... If you look around you will find reviews and threads about them. Lachlan has a video review, and they sound very similar to the Clouds, if not the same. There aren't many reviews on amazon, because it's an OEM company from Japan. A lot of headsets in the past are complete crap by a lot of people's standards, but you're not open to change for some reason... Use the product before you bash it.

I'd rather go with something that has thousands and thousands of consistently high reviews (not just Amazon, was just using that as an example) over something not very well known with only fewer reviews.

In that case, OP would need to physically try both to make a proper opinion. But that's probably out of the question, thus I advice he goes with something well known and often suggested. But it's his choice, so hey.
