Just wondering would this make a big differance from a SSD page file mainly in Editing video or gaming ?

Might of already been answerd just a thought i had.. :D

You could, but it would be kinda...pointless?

 

Why take up space on your ram for overflow back to the ram?

Because someprograms use Pagefile's even tho there is plenty of ram left & im getting another 16gb in the future and wont be using it all when gaming

Why not disable the pagefile then...?

dunno, heard some programs need a pagefile and just wondering if it made any effect on much

I'm pretty sure if you lose power with a page file in ram your windows install will become corrupted and you will need to repair...

If you have enough ram and want to speed up some programs (games for instance) a ramdisk is a nice option because system ram is way faster then ssd.

 

and you dont have to worry about corrupting or losing information cause a ramdisk copies the software wich is located somewhere else into your ram and loads/deletes it during start/shutdown of windows

 

turning off ur pagefile btw speeds up ur system aswell btw
