It's an extremely complex topic. That said the "PetroDollar" has allot ... "MOSTLY EVERYTHING" to do with why many popular things including but not limited to PC components cost less in USA than they do in many/most other parts of the world.

Canadians also have a higher min wage and wages are higher in general. Plus less taxes and cheaper health care. In essence is all comes out in the wash ... We all get fucked in the end no matter what part of the world we live in.

True to some extent. IIRC, I think LA raised their min wage to 15/hr. I know some states, down in the Georgia area, min wage is around 4/hr. Kinda sad tbh.
