So i'm building my new build and a tittle bit confused about it. So heres the build:

CPU: Intel core i3 4150

GPU: GTX 750ti ASUS

RAM: 8GB 1333MHz

Mobo: MSI H81M-E34

PSU: 430W Corsair 80+

I posted a previous thread trying to know about gaming with this rig and i guess it should handle skyrim at medium quite nicely. Now the main problem arrives. I'm also a youtuber and will do some basic tutorials, gaming videos and by the

word basic i mean really "BASIC" Well now the problem is my Processor which is an i3!!!! so how is it gonna handle editing. Not 3d to be clear.

it will stil work for video editing, but it will be slow.

go AMD instead, and you will get better performance per dollar.

I would agree butg he already has the socket meaning he could upgrade to an i5/i7 for the same cost.

Oh I thought he was building this from scratch? I didn't know he already had the parts...

Get a FX 8320, the prices has been recently slashed and the performance is great for the money,  if you can OC it a bit it will help a lot.

this is a chart from the Xbitlabs vishera review

if i understand it right he already has the i3

eggxactly, i want it to be an upgrateable machine. i love eggs btw

If you still have to buy the mobo and CPU, for the money the 8320 is a beast, you can later add an aftermarket cooler (like the Be Quiet! Shadow rock 2, that always goes on sale for like $30), and then OC it.

It's up to you, if you buy the i3 today, to have to wait a whole year to drop an i7 into that socket, it's not worth it. But if you just want to have a functional computer today, and in 6-8 weeks upgrade the i3 might be worth it.

IMO I just prefer the FX chip today and maybe in 1-2 years replace it with something else. It's a good CPU, the platform is seen as old but it has everything you could need, it's still current and viable.

there might be a mistake @[member=Vorticalbox]. I didnt build it yet

oh in that case don't bother with the i3, i have an i3 and it takes an age to render anything.

I was rendering a 20 second 200 fps video down to 24 fps for nice slow mo and it took almost an hour (not sure if good or not but felt a long time for me)
