White Widow - Editing Workstation PC

FatedCb
My extreme editing PC build on the new X99 chipset. Dubbed the "White Widow" this thing is a beast in terms of editing. The new Haswell-E Intel i7 5820K crushes the previous Haswell chips, I'm excited to see what a more powerful CPU such as the 5960X will do as well as how this new socket 2011-V3 will perform overall. The Asus X99 Deluxe is a great motherboard! The software is fantastic, overclocks with ease and can handle the voltages. It is definitely the jack of all trades, though not the best in terms of performance on a model like the ROG.

Let me know if you think I should paint the GTX 760 panel white. I think it would fit better. I am also thinking of trying lights again. What color should I go for?

I have a Build video and playlist on YouTube, if you wanna check it out.

I like the components but I've never been a fan of White PC's I just think white is a really bland color (yes black is too but a little less so than white.)

Yeah, though from what I gathered it was more of a rendering machine. And besides, he can add another in the future and get GTX 780 to GTX 780 Ti-like performance (considering they would be FTW 4GB cards.)

It is for editing. No sense in a 780 or anything. Won't see much benefit in the editing software that I use. I put my money into more v-ram. I have a 4770K/ 780 build for gaming.

i trust him for most things i'm just saying that the weakest part of the build is the 760 and other than that its a fine build

Like i said it is for editing. Look at Dave Dugdales video with JJ from asus on the new X99 platform start the vid on YT at 5:45 that will explain it for you. For gaming the 760 would be piss-poor.

I think this is against the COC for self advertising and may need to be reported! B)

I would call you a stickler, but it is not exactly appropriate.

He is posting a build log. He had a YouTube video hyperlinked in it of the build process, which (dependent on a moderation-to-moderation basis) is normally okay unless he is telling people to go subscribe and like/share/follow. And if you have an issue with such things, you should be reporting it and letting moderators handle it instead of trying to backseat moderate.

Ok well it looks like the has removed the YouTube video since I have made that comment, Also I am not trying to be a ''backseate moderator'' and I reported this right after making that comment. Oh ya and one last thing by posting this comment I do not mean to offend you or anyone! B)

I guess I will jump in here. I removed the video because I felt like it may be misconstrued to be "self-promotion" even though it was a video which is a lot better at explaining. I was not asking you to subscribe or anything else. I just said hey if you don't like to read just watch. You can see many other post that have YouTube links. "do not mean to offend" I mean come on man it is a video not some ad for Viagra. Calm down you are not a mod so please do not even speak of the COC. Of course you meant to offend. You said nothing of the build except oh this is advertising.... what a shame.... Have some heart and be honest, rather than a D-bag.
