Help a n00b and his friend.

Easy To Pronounce Name

My friend's MSI G70 Stealth Gaming Laptop is Blackscreening every time he attempts to turn it on. Me an him are both noobs in the field of troubleshooting, as you might be able to tell by his description of the problem...

[10:31:44 PM] Hodor: Turn on #1 spinny circle load thing with the words msi above
[10:31:48 PM] Hodor: second time
[10:32:04 PM] Hodor: broken repairing thing that leads to nothing
[10:32:26 PM] Hodor: on the first time if given enough time it will actually start scanning and repairing
[10:32:27 PM] Hodor: however
[10:32:35 PM] Hodor: it seems stuck on 0%
[10:32:54 PM] Hodor: and the cycle repeats with every turn on/off

Don't question it.. he is Hodor. Anyway, does anyone have any solution or advice?

It could be that the video card is not working, really hard to determined at this point as, the rough description is a bit sketchy. Have you guys opened the laptop or dropped it recently?

If it's the Windows startup repair thingy just pull the battery and try restarting. Worked almost every time with my old laptop :D That computer had a thing for startup repairs..

Get the bluescreen and make a picture of the screen. It needs to be clear enough so we can read the error code (the one consisting of lots of zeros)

Blackscreen and bluescreen are two very different things. Blackscreen means you have to get it replaced, because it just don't work, and you can't do anything on it. Bluescreen is possible to work with, you might be able to boot and get the repair tool going. So wich is it? Oo
