Posted September 17, 2014 It looks very good, just the airflow seems a bit meh. Doesn't really look any more restricted than the 350d or NZXT H440. . . Although I'd agree you have a point. Posted September 17, 2014 Another great entry from them but as was stated before; I'm unsure of the airflow and the 5.25" drive seems like a weird addition. Posted September 18, 2014 Features of Enthoo series cases: Watercooling pump bracket included. Simple SSD (and even HDD) mounting behind motherboard tray. Compartmentalized box for screws. Excellent build quality. Velcro straps behind motherboard tray for cable management. Slots for variable fan mounts. Screws not rivets, although the Evolv is mostly toolless. Side bracket for easy reservoir mounting. "Wing-like" HDD trays that don't require bending. Good watercooling support. New Features in the evolv: Completely toolless top, front and side panels with sturdy-looking hinges, and made of thick aluminium with a glossy finish. Power supply cover shows off the power supply, although short PSUs may unintentionally show cables. 4 colours of LEDs can be used to illuminate a strip on the lower front panel, although it seems a bit odd on this style of case IMO. Some of the cables included are nice flat styled cables. Fan filter for front panel has removable plastic tab that allows 2x 140mm fan mounting. Loads of foam strips not really intended for noise dampening, but for dampening the sound of side panels closing. Innovative rear 5.25" bay mount. The main criticisms are: The power/reset and USB/audio ports being on the side panel. Restricted airflow. High price at $140 (justified price in my opinion) Power supply cover may not entirely cover power supply. And something I would like to see from Phanteks: Fully black cables behind the motherboard tray. Preferably flat or easy to bend and convenient to route. No more multi-coloured gaps in the audio cables please!
Posted September 18, 2014 Can't wait for the full review to come out. The optical bay is weird. And I wish the Power/usb was on the other side. But that's a small gripe. Looks like it could be a great case. “At bottom, you see, we are not Homo sapiens as all. Our core is madness. The prime directive is murder. Posted September 18, 2014 I dig what I see so far with the Evolv. My only concerns are with it is airflow and the location of the USB panel. Buttons are just a minor inconvince, and lots of cases are restricted, does d not do much to temps, my phantom 410 is restricted by half inch thick carbon filters, temps are fine on my fx6300 and hd7850 n0ah1897, on 05 Mar 2014 - 2:08 PM, said: "Computers are like girls. Posted September 22, 2014 It's gonna be my next case it's perfect for my type of usage and build and I like that I can use it for things like water cooling down the line. But its a pain in the butt to find, its available pre-order on overclockers.co.uk but I haven't seen anything in north america yet.
