Hi guys,

Let me explain whats going on:

I use a astro mixamp to route all my console audio(Xbox 360, Xbone, PS4, Ps3) via optical to my headphones via a mixer, and I have it plugged into my PC via usb to use as my primary PC headphones as well.

My issue: I hear a very audible humming from the mixamp.

I have found a solution: Power the mixamp via a apple 2-prong USB charger.

Since that works, its leading me to believe that there is a grounding issue either from my PC's PSU, or something else to do with the USB ports.

Any help or tips are greatly appreciated. If you need me to clarify further, I would be happy too.

Thanks,

-Shrimp

try a different usb cable, the one astro includes is very low quality.

Personal Build Project "Rained-On"

helped building up the CPU Overclocking Database and GPU Overclocking Database, check them out ;)

OK, ill give that a go and report back!

EDIT: The cable astro includes is like 10 feet long, that probably does not help.
