Intel Pentuim G3258 Bottleneck?

Go to solution Solved by TheTiger,

is there a sub 120$ i3?

Just use this as a step-in processor when u don't have the money yet and upgrade to an i5-5xxx when it comes out. Atm you won't feel a difference when using a G3258 compared to a i3 in games.

I have a Intel Pentuim G3258 with a GTX770 installed, looking @ the rest of my PC it is definitiv my bottleneck, but when you just do gaming, it won't be much compared to a higher CPU, especially when you overclock it!

Does something like a hyper threaded i3 solve this problem?

yes in games that like multiple threads

but after checking google benchmarks  it seems many games still work well with 2 threads so ignore what i said

but i dont know how long this trend will last

its better to stick with an i3 or i5 anything with more than 2 threads
