Hi there

This is the frist time that im posting on forum , so dont get angry with me if this is not the proper section :-)

With that out of the way is time to explain why im where asking for some help,

So, what im looking for is complete working / gamming rig between 1500$ -1600$ with peripherals ( an simple 1080p gpod loking and nice performance monitor , and simple keyboard and mouse) I dont want to spend a lot on peripherals...

On this machine I want to run ARCgis (this is program based on maps and heavly image data ) on the official website they refer as recommended hardware 2gb of RAM, dual core 2.9 hyper threaded if , 256mb of dedicated grafic memory , what I think is just not difficult to achieve.

On the gamming side I was looking to play League of leagends on the maximum settings with no big problem , 80 fps+ , but besides that I want to play BF4 at ultra in 1080p

This could seems a little bit confuse but...

I was thinking going on the following build:

- i7 4790k

-Asus maximus VI gene

-Vegence 2 x 8Gb.

-2 x R9 270x

-Samsung 840 Evo 120Gb

-WD Black 1Tb

-Corsair 750w

-Corsair H100i

I dindt looked at peripherals but they have to be included on the 1500-1600$ budget

If anyone have some advice or any change on my opinion of what it would be an nice build , feel free to comment and give your opinion , I really would like to know what you think

Thank you guys , and congratulations to linus and his team for this ammmmazing forum , I learned a lot where

Get a 290 or 290x. Single high end graphics card is better than 2 mid range cards.

Also, get the H105 over the H100i unless you're into the corsair link stuff. If your case (which you didnt list) supports it, get the kraken x61.

D'you wanna overclock that thing at all? 'cause if you don't, then I would go for a cheaper cooling solution. Also, Western Digital do a LOT of cheaper HDDs like the Blues 'n Greens. If you wanna go for the black, then sure why not, but you could maybe chop off some fat round the edges and go for some more graphical oompf.

And, I don't know much about motherboards, but ain't that a little overkill?

LOOK AT MY TUBE, MY TUBE IS AMAZING. DONT LICK IT IT DOESN'T TASTE LIKE ANYTHING. IT DOESN'T HAVE A MANE OR PENIS EITHER. SHUT UP.

No reason to get an i7 over an i5 for gaming at least. Zero performance increase in 99% of the games you're gonna play

Also LoL above 80FPS is not something you should ever worry about. It's incredibly easy to run

I love StarCraft

Intel i5 4670 @3.4Ghz - Gigabyte G1 Gaming Gtx 970 @ 1542Mhz - 120GB Kingston SSD - 1TB Seagate HDD - Gigabyte B85-H3D - 8 GB 1333Mhz Kingston RAM - Azza Toledo 301 - SteelSeries Sensei/Logitech G400s - Razer Blackwidow 2013 Ultimate - Sennheiser HD 598 - Zalman Zm-mic 1

Please do not get 2 270x's take the money from those and get a 290 or 290x if you can. There is almost no situation in which 2 lower performance cards will beat a high end one. I am taking a quote from linus himself here, "It's like strapping 2 motorcycles together and expecting them to perform like a race car." I don't remember what car he compared them to, but you get the idea.

I5 has hyperthreading

Err......... No.  THe i3 and the i7 have hyperthreading giving the i3 2 cores and 2 virtual cores and the i7 (mainstream models) 4 cores and 4 virtual cores.  The i5 has 4 cores and no HT.  I believe some of the mobile i5s have HT but some of those only have 2 true cores and 2 virtual.
