I've plugged in the graphics card and the 6+2 pin as well as the 6 pin. I've plugged in the 24 pin and the 8 pin cpu power. I've also got the stock cooler on and i have plugged the fan header into cpu-fan.

yeah but the CMOS just stores BIOS information, no?

i would think this would be a bit more of a hardware situation

 

but regardless, it's a possibility

Well if the solution is to clear the CMOS, if you can't find the pins then take out the battery.

I'm just thinking its more along the lines its a deficiency with the hardware, not the CMOS

it usually involved moving a little piece on a certain pin, which will reset the CMOS

but, you still need to refer to your mobo's manufacturer to know where it is and how to do it

that wouldn't be an issue

if the GPU is doing something wrong, there would be beeps to accompany this problem

850w g2, tri-x r9 290, z97 pro motherboard, i5 4690k. These are not the only components i have just the ones plugged in to each other. Also the fan on the stock heatsink is not spinning

Do you have a hard drive with an operating system connected and powered? Because you said "boot device led"...
