problem with overclocking

Hi 

i tried to overclock my cpu and as soon as i changed the frequency the computer started to restart itself on boot up. 

it would start, shut down, start, shut down, then start and go to boot.

anyone know what the problem might be?

That's because it has to change its config, mine does too, just one time...

it stable in prime 95 and heaven benchmark 4.0 for more than 1 hour

Which setting have you changed for your overclock, you may need to increase the voltage a bit more

cool n quiet: disabled 

c1e: disabled

svm: disabled

core 6c state: disabled

hpc mode: disabled

turbo boost: diabled 

and i set every value to a static default and went from there

at least my mb resets all the settings after failed oc but its only good thing with bios that my msi z97 g55 mb has

it cant oc i5 4690k at all so i have to use shitty software

 

dont oc if you dont know how to do it and if you do that dont change any settings but essential

to compensate instability increase voltage... nah i wont explain you

for ivy bridge

but overclocking is basicly have same rules

i dont have experriance with amd cpus but ik it has bridges south north and with them ocing could make some problems with sincing same clocks i guess
