Hi 

i tried to overclock my cpu and as soon as i changed the frequency the computer started to restart itself on boot up. 

it would start, shut down, start, shut down, then start and go to boot.

anyone know what the problem might be?

That's because it has to change its config, mine does too, just one time...

rig: i7 4770k @4.1Ghz (delidded), Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz, ROG Maximus VI Hero, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA GTX980SC, Samsung 850 EVO 500GB, Corsair SF600, self-built wooden Case, CoolerMaster QuickFire TK, Logitech G502, Blue Yeti, BenQ GW2760HS

at least my mb resets all the settings after failed oc but its only good thing with bios that my msi z97 g55 mb has

it cant oc i5 4690k at all so i have to use shitty software

 

dont oc if you dont know how to do it and if you do that dont change any settings but essential

to compensate instability increase voltage... nah i wont explain you

if you have haswel

for ivy bridge

but overclocking is basicly have same rules
